Author G. Todd Taylor is dedicated to offering uplifting children's books dedicated to not only being entertaining but educational.

For the past 15 years,  G. Todd Taylor, has served his community through his family business Uplift Comprehensive Services and through his nonprofit organization The Power of U.  Uplift Comprehensive Services provides Behavioral Health services to troubled youth throughout eastern North Carolina with strategic partnerships with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Area Social Service Agencies and the Public Schools.  He has worked to divert the school to prison pipeline for countless young people and assisted families to maintain healthy relationships in order to provide homes that give young people the best possible probabilities of success. Through his  nonprofit he has partnered with schools churches and civic organizations to provide substance abuse prevention and early intervention services throughout North Carolina in order to curb the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in youth to give them an increased possibility of a healthy future.

Garrett Taylor’s commitment to others doesn't stop at his office door.  He serves on several boards, including the SBTDC advisory board at ECSU, the Acting Chair of the Greenville Parks and Rec. Commission, the STRIVE of Eastern North Carolina Advisory board as well as the Board Chair of the Heritage Collegiate Leadership Academy of Bertie County, the first charter school in the county.  Mr. Taylor is also co-owner of Taylor Made Publishing with his wife Diane Taylor.  Taylor Made Publishing has allowed many authors in eastern North Carolina realized their dreams of becoming authors. In addition, Mr. Taylor has also written three children’s books; Mommy Where Were You (available for free on www.upliftnc.org or www.taylormadenc.com), Daddy’s Little Princess and What Will I Be (both will be available early 2015.  He writes stories he hopes that will serve as inspiration to his two children Garrett McConner and Morgan Elizabeth.  

His commitment to young people extends to Taylor Made Publishing where he has given internships to students in the art department at ECSU.  It is through those internships that he has developed relationships with two dynamic illustrators,  Annamarie Lewis and Delayna Robbins.
